Cycling trip for the whole family.
The route starts at the parking lot in Hluboká nad Vltavou. First you will cycle along the bike path past the castle park to join the Hluboká nad Vltavou - Poněšice nature trail behind Hluboká, after which you will reach Purkarce.
About 2.5 km past Hluboká you will see a turning to the left to the red tourist sign. You can take the path, but rather without bikes because it is not suitable for them. The Baba Viewpoint with a beautiful view of the Vltava River will be waiting for you at the top.
You will surely enjoy the following 5km stretch of an undemanding cycle path lining the Vltava River that flows through beautiful countryside between forests and rocks. At the end of this section, the red mark will turn right from the asphalt road. Leave your bikes on the turn and walk a little along the trail to the ruins of Karlův Castle with free entry.
Within 2 km you can reach Purkarce where you can visit the rafting museum and refresh yourself.
The route back to Hluboká leads along cycle paths through villages typical for České Budějovice region.
