Food festival Jíme Jih v klášteře v ČB

The association Jime Jih is bringing a street food festival to České Budějovice for the first time this year, which has been missing here until now. The event will take place on Saturday, September 24, and will seamlessly connect with the farmers' markets on Piaristicky náměstí. It will be enough to go through the gate to the monastery.

The first year of the Jíme Jih food festival in the monastery focused on two key ingredients. The main role will be South Bohemian cheeses, be they cow, goat or even sheep... South Bohemia has something
to offer and there are a lot of mini dairies and producers of dairy products! We will introduce them to you, you will be able to taste their products on the spot and buy them at home.

The association's restaurants will cook hot meals on site, incorporating these ingredients.

The second South Bohemian ingredient we want to introduce this year is apple cider. Even if it doesn't seem like it, there are more of them in the region and every producer is interesting. In addition, we think that the combination of ciders and cheeses is perfect.

Well, come see for yourself.

For a nominal entrance fee, you will be able to taste for free at the stalls, buy home supplies directly from the source and, above all, eat well. There will also be a sweet bar, coffee and other drinks. In cooperation with Kabinet CB, we will serve all food on china and drinks in glass to eliminate unnecessary single-use waste. There will also be live music to add to the pleasant atmosphere. It will be a day like a bead (even in case of bad weather).
The event is co-financed by a grant from the city of České Budějovice.
