Výlov Dolanského rybníku u Boletic

The holiday fishing trip organized by the VLS on October 25th has been a long-standing tradition in the Český Krumlov region. The fishermen of the state-owned enterprise alternate between two ponds (Olšina, Dolanský) owned by the VLS, because in mountain conditions, fish grow more slowly in cold water. Last year, Šumava fishermen fished the 140-hectare Olšina, whose fishing trip has traditionally become the most visited Šumava fishing event. This year, they will be fishing the smaller Dolanský pond. It is located near Boletice and one of the most important historical monuments in the Český Krumlov region – the Romanesque church of St. Nicholas on Mount Olymp.

In addition to watching the catch and sale of live fish, visitors to the event will also enjoy a rich accompanying program :

  • Forest pedagogy for children and adults
  • "Fishing" - fishing with simple rods on the adjacent Maninský pond
  • Competitions for Christmas carp or fishing permits on Malá Olšina

The event is organized by the Military Forests and Estates of the Czech Republic (VLS).
