The exhibition presents the results of monitoring and mapping of mushrooms in the area of České Budějovice, which has been carried out by club members since 1966. Attention is paid to significant localities (Vrbenské rybníky nature reserve, Stromovka park, campus of the University of South Bohemia, natural monument of Kaliště), but also to interesting phenomena, such as the arrival of thermophilic species due to climate change. Poisonous mushrooms are also presented. Attention is also paid to the mushrooms growing in the city with large, conspicuous fruiting bodies or champignons. The mushrooms are presented both in photographs taken by members of the Mycological Club of the South Bohemian Museum and in the form of freeze-dried fruiting bodies, which makes this exhibition completely unique.
