Michael Gabriel (*1960)
A cross-section of the work of the original Czech sculptor, it will offer, among other things, famous works including horses, jaguars, sharks, players and dancers, as well as the latest experiments with 3D printing. The exhibition will be presented in the halls of the Egon Schiele Art Center in Český Krumlov and partly in the exteriors of the castle in Týnec (near Klatovy).
Alois Riedl (*1935)
Retrospective for his 90th birthday. The paintings by Austrian artist Alois Riedl presented as part of the Český Krumlov exhibition show the development of his internationally renowned work over the past 50 years. Riedl's style oscillates between object and abstract painting, while he willingly and skillfully crosses the boundaries of both. In the 1990s, he discovers the circle as an optimal shape, which evokes new processes in his work towards three-dimensionality.
