The South Bohemian Museum, in cooperation with the Lions Club of České Budějovice and thanks to the support of the staff of the United Organization of the Visually Impaired and Blind (SONS), the Czech Union of Visually Impaired Athletes - ČSZPS, zs and TJ Zora Praha, zs - Blind Athletes, has prepared an unconventional sports - cultural - social event for visitors on Saturday, May 3, 2025 for the visually impaired and the general public with the opportunity to gain an insight into the world of the visually impaired.
As part of the DAY WITH THE HANDICAP, the museum will host an unofficial competition for the visually impaired in the sports discipline of simulated sound shooting called TREFA NASLEPO, which will be followed in the afternoon by a simulated sound shooting trainer for the general public, where museum visitors will be able to try out a sports discipline aspiring to be included among the Paralympic sports.
Thanks to organizational cooperation with the Mathilda Foundation, visually impaired visitors and the public will also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition SEEN BY HANDS, which presents works created by blind artists.
