Smetana's Viewpoint

Music composer Bedřich Smetana's favourite viewpoint.

Smetana's viewpoint at Třebsín is named after Bedřich Smetana, who liked this place. According to legend, the place inspired him to write the second part of the symphonic poem Má vlast (My Country).

The viewpoint is located above the Štěchovice dam below the Kletecko hill (371 meters above sea level). It was built in 1974 on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana. From the lookout point you can see the opposite bank where the Ztracená naděje (Lost Hope) tramp village is located.

The route to the viewpoint leads from Třebsín along the yellow tourist trail. However, it is also accesible by car and offers a car park right below the platform.

Tourists will appreciate the easy access to the viewpoint, which has railings and a concrete platform.
