Martin Krajc is a painter of emotions – his work is a dynamic intersection between personal experience, gesture and colour. The paintings, full of energy, tension and lyrical shades, stem from the author's need to capture the variability of human identity and the relationship of man to the surrounding world. The exhibition Splendid Moods presents a collection of new and selected works that reflect the current stage of his work, in which painterly freedom is combined with a deep sense of composition and colour.
*Martin Krajc (1984) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the Painting III studio under doc. Michael Rittstein in 2003–2009. He is a co-founder of the generational art group OBR and a member of the Firma group. He is considered one of the most prominent expressionists of the younger generation of Czech painters. His distinctive style, influenced by street art and Spanish masters, is easily recognizable by its dynamism, expressive power and brilliant color. Krajc has been exhibiting for more than ten years in prestigious galleries in the Czech Republic and abroad, and his works are represented in a number of important private collections.
The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, November 6th at 6:00 PM with the participation of author and curator Karel Srp. The evening's atmosphere will be complemented by a musical set by DJ Robot.
