Hradištko Castle

Small baroque castle.

There used to be a fortress from the 16th century on the site of the present castle. In 1709, Abbot Vít Seidel had it rebuilt into a two-storey chateau.

Frescoes of holy figures have been preserved in the castle. In the Great Hall, there is a depiction of Magdalena washing the feet of Christ. In the corridor on the first floor, you can admire a legend about Madonna's handover of the Premonstratensian robe to St. Norbert.

Opposite the castle stands a granary, which served as a storage for propanbutane bottles. But in the winter of 1989, a homeless man settled in a granary, causing a massive fire.

Today the castle houses a municipal office, a library and a ceremonial hall.

The tour is possible by prior arrangement.
